Rival island clans have kept the peace for years through an annual bride offering made by the weaker clan, but the son of that clanās chief is tired of this archaic system and intends to shake things up. Unfortunately, fate intervenes, and before heās able to put his plan into place, he finds himself at his rivalās mercy in more ways than one!
Far off in the ocean exists a mysterious island inhabited by two rival clans. To keep the peace, the Tangata clan provides a yearly offering of one of their warriors to the more powerful Miyaru, who are said to be descended from sharks! Avel, the Tangata chiefās son, is growing increasingly dissatisfied with this arrangementā¦and with the Miyaru. When he is attacked by a jungle cat, a member of the Miyaru clan, Tukiri, comes to his rescue. Surprised by his rivalās friendly, gentle nature, Avel lets his guard down, but when Tukiri notices Avel is bleeding, his demeanor suddenly changesāand so does his appearance!
